Imposter syndrome refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. This psychological pattern can lead to feelings of self-doubt and fear of being exposed as a "fraud." It is common among high achievers who are unable to internalise their accomplishments, attributing their success to external factors like luck or timing instead of their own abilities.
